| API key | A secret created under Settings → Public API in the Seamless app. Send it in the Token header. See API keys. |
| OAuth access token | A token for apps that act for many Seamless users. Send it as Authorization: Bearer <token>. See OAuth. |
| Base URL | https://api.seamless.ai/api/client/v1 or /v2. v2 includes every v1 endpoint plus engagement and reverse lookup. |
| Credits | The balance that search and research spend. Remaining credits appear in the X-PublicAPI-Credits header and GET /v2/credits. See Rate limits and credits. |
| Public API license | Organization-level access to the REST API. Without it, calls return 422 missingLicense. |
| Connect license | Access to engagement features: campaigns, tasks, email, templates, calls, and activity. See Access control. |
| Search | POST /search/contacts or /search/companies. Returns previews of matching records, without emails or phones. |
| Filter | A search parameter such as jobTitle or companySize. Every filter has its own page in the catalog. |
searchResultId | The ID of one search row. Pass it to research to unlock the full record. |
nextToken | Cursor for the next page of search results, from supplementalData.nextToken. |
| Research | POST /contacts/research or /companies/research. Enriches records with emails, phones, and firmographics. Asynchronous. |
requestId | The ID of one research job, returned in requestIds. Use it to poll or to match webhook deliveries. |
| Poll | GET /contacts/research/poll or /companies/research/poll. Returns each job’s status and, when done, the record. Free. |
| Webhook | A POST Seamless sends to your server when research finishes. It carries the x-seamless-webhook-secret header. See Webhooks. |
duplicate | A poll status meaning your org already researched this record. Read it free from My Contact Data. |
| My Contact Data / My Company Data | Every record your org has researched, readable at no cost with GET /contacts and GET /companies. Sometimes called org data. |
contactId | The ID of a saved contact in your org. Used by lists, campaigns, and email. |
| List | A named group of saved contacts or companies. |
| Saved search | A stored set of filters you can rerun with savedSearchId. |
| Location vocabulary | The fixed set of place names location filters accept. Look values up with Location Lookup. |
locationType | Whether location filters match the contact’s location, the company’s headquarters, either, or both. |
| Job change | A contact who joined a new company (New Hire) or got a new title at the same company (New Promotion). |
Confidence (TotalAI) | A percentage score on each email and phone, such as email1TotalAI. Higher is more likely correct. |
| Deprecated alias | An older field name still returned for compatibility, such as title for jobTitle. See Changelog. |
| MCP | Model Context Protocol. The Seamless MCP server exposes the API as tools for AI assistants. |
