Parameter	Type	Required	Description
`contactState`	string[]	Yes	Filter by the contact’s or company’s state or region. Accepts a US state name or abbreviation and non-US subdivisions alike (`"CA"`, `"California"`, `"Ontario"`). Prefix a value with `-` to exclude it. Behavior depends on the `locationType` parameter. Values match a fixed vocabulary spelled the way the data spells them, usually the English exonym — Germany’s state is `"Bavaria"`, not `"Bayern"`. US state names and abbreviations need no lookup. Use `GET /search/locations` for anything else; an unknown value matches no contacts and comes back under `warnings` with suggestions. Up to 10 values.
`locationType`	string	No	Determines how location filters are applied. `contact` matches the contact’s personal location only, `company` the company’s headquarters only, `bothOR` either (default), `bothAND` both. Default `"bothOR"`.
`limit`	integer	No	Results per page, up to 500. Default `50`.
`nextToken`	string	No	Cursor from `supplementalData.nextToken` to fetch the next page.

Response

Rows are contact previews with searchResultId, name, title, seniority, company, location, and LinkedIn URL, but no emails or phones. Send searchResultId to Contact Research to get them. Fields: Contact Search. Auth: Token header (API keys) · Errors: status codes · Billing: rate limits and credits
