# Company Name → Website

> Get the website domain for a list of company names, up to 100 per request, with industry, size, and location to confirm the match.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Endpoint** `POST /search/companies` with `companyName` · **Credits** charged per results returned · **Versions** v1, v2

## Introduction

Send company names and get back each company's website domain, along with industry, headcount, revenue, and headquarters location so you can confirm the match. Use it to normalize CRM accounts, match trade show lists, and turn company names into domains for other lookups.

Tune the matching with `companyNameSearchType`:

| Value | Behavior |
| - | - |
| `default` | Standard relevance matching |
| `exact` | Exact company name only. Best for clean lists. |
| `related` | Also matches subsidiaries, parent companies, and brand aliases |

Results are ordered by relevance, so the first row is the best match. When you send several names, read each row's `companyName` to pair it with your input.
