# Company Keyword → Companies

> Find companies whose name, description, or indexed profile text mentions your keywords. One filter of the Seamless.AI Company Search API.

> [!NOTE]
>
> `POST /search/companies` · Credits charged per results returned · v1, v2 · Part of the [Company Search API](/api-catalog/company-search)

## Introduction

Find companies whose name, description, or indexed profile text mentions your keywords, such as "sales intelligence" or "B2B SaaS". Combine it with any other filter in the same request (AND logic).

> [!NOTE]
>
> This matches Seamless's company profile text, not the live text of a company's homepage. A dedicated [Keyword Homepage Search](/api-catalog/keyword-homepage-search) API is coming soon.

## AI agent prompt

```text theme={null}
Read https://docs.seamless.ai/api-catalog/company-filters/company-keyword. Using SEAMLESS_API_KEY, call POST https://api.seamless.ai/api/client/v1/search/companies with the `companyKeyword` filter to find companies matching: <your target>. Page with nextToken and keep each searchResultId.
```

## Example

```bash cURL theme={null}
curl -X POST https://api.seamless.ai/api/client/v1/search/companies \
  -H "Token: $SEAMLESS_API_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"companyKeyword": ["sales intelligence", "B2B SaaS"], "keywordsIsOr": true, "limit": 25}'
```

```python Python theme={null}
import os, requests
rows = requests.post("https://api.seamless.ai/api/client/v1/search/companies",
    headers={"Token": os.environ["SEAMLESS_API_KEY"]},
    json={"companyKeyword": ["sales intelligence", "B2B SaaS"], "keywordsIsOr": True, "limit": 25}).json()["data"]
```
